Discussion Panel: Future for Digital: Big Media, Big Changes
How do big media transform and adapt to the new digital expectations, and what are some of the practices and activities NGOs can take from them? Experts from BBC, Deutsche Welle, and Current Time TV will share their experience and advice on the way to tackle digitalization challenges. The discussion will focus on the way media use social platforms to create engagement and reach their audiences, and the way traditional news gathering is changing due to the new tools and opportunities. We will also talk about the phenomena of false news online and on social media, and the way journalists work with those, verify info, and remain credible. The panel will be interesting both for journalists and non-media professionals such as digital activists, NGOs, and basically, anyone using Internet, social media, and news websites.
